Traveling basketball tryouts are tentatively scheduled for consecutive Sundays in September (Sept 23 & 30).  Both sessions are mandatory, unless the player receives approval from the SLP Boys Traveling Association to miss one of the sessions (approval must be granted prior to Sept 22).

Note:  We have moved tryouts to Sunday afternoons to do what we can to avoid any conflicts that we seem to always face on Saturdays and weeknights, and are hoping the afternoon will avoid conflicts with church.

Please continue to monitor this website for updates and additional information.  In the meantime, get out there and dribble, shoot and dribble some more!

Tryouts should be a great test of individual and team fundamentals/skills.  Our independent evaluators will evaluate players based on a variety of factors, including ball handling, passing, catching, shooting, defense, rebounding, hustle, offensive and defensive team skills, etc.  Players interested in improving their chances at tryouts should spend time in the offseason working on these fundamentals and come to tryouts with great attitudes!
